Standard 2022 Population Estimates

The standard population estimates reflect the estimated resident population of municipalities as of July 1, 2022 living within July 1, 2022 municipal boundaries. These data also include revised July 1, 2020 through July 1, 2021 population estimates. You may access the full dataset here: 2022 Standard Population Estimates — Opendatasoft (nc.gov).

The certified municipal population estimates are available here. These are estimates of the July 1, 2022 resident population within July 1, 2023 municipal boundaries. The certified population for unincorporated areas of counties are also included.
