This week, the Office of State Budget and Management (OSBM) announced Brett Altman’s appointment to the position of Assistant State Budget Officer (ASBO) for Budget Development. 
The Board of Trustees of the Financial Accounting Foundation (FAF) announced OSBM's Barbara Baldwin, CPA and Executive Director the Council of Internal Auditing, will serve on the Governmental Accounting Standards Advisory Council (GASAC). She represents the National Association of State Budget Officers (NASBO). Her term began March 1, 2025.

Jack Gagnon, Internal Audit Supervisor with the Office of State Budget and Management (OSBM), has been honored with the prestigious Internal Audit Award of Excellence. 
There are 37 new graduates of the Performance Management Academy, equipped with valuable tools and knowledge to improve the effectiveness of state government programs and drive better outcomes for North Carolinians. The state employees who completed this six-week program come from 18 agencies.
