The OSBM Central Office of Internal Audit will host a 2-day in person training opportunity for internal auditors on April 29th - April 30th, 2026 at 8:30 am at the Steve Troxler Agricultural Sciences Center in Raleigh, NC.

This training is designed for state government employees who are new to internal auditing or those seeking to enhance their foundational knowledge. It is ideal for newly hired auditors, employees transitioning into audit roles, and staff from other departments who need a basic understanding of audit principles. Learn essential audit concepts, processes, and best practices to effectively assess risks, ensure compliance, and improve government operations.
Topics include an overview of the life cycle of an audit engagement, including planning, examining the internal control environment and organizational governance, obtaining and presenting audit evidence, and successfully wrapping-up the engagement based on critical concepts.
