The Justification Documentation Form (JDF) is used by agencies to develop and explain the business case for a budget request.

The JDF Evidence Training, led by Chief Scientist David Yokum, addresses how to craft a JDF with a compelling evidence justification. 

Attendees will learn and practice:

  1. How to create a logic model
  2. How to identify and describe quality evidence
  3. How to use the NC Evidence Scale
  4. How to plan and get support to generate evidence, where needed

We recommend reviewing the JDF in advance to empower a better understanding of how the concepts map directly into the questions on the JDF. There is also an annotated, example version of a completed JDF.
