Information Session on Evaluation Grant Opportunity

The Office of State Budget and Management (OSBM) invites state agencies to apply for grant funding for research and evaluation projects through the new North Carolina Evaluation Fund. Please join OSBM and the NC Office of Strategic Partnerships for an information session about this opportunity.

We will discuss the goals of the Fund, the application and award process, and how to get help with proposal development and finding a research partner. There will be ample time for Q&A.

The Fund supports research partnerships that inform program and policy decisions. This is a unique opportunity to secure expert assistance for testing and evaluating strategies to address top priority challenges. Higher education institutions are not eligible to apply directly, but they can be—and are encouraged to be—research partners with an agency applicant. OSBM expects to award 5-10 grants totaling up to $1 million. Grants will be awarded in two rounds, with the following application deadlines:

  • Round 1: applications due June 24, 2022
  • Round 2: applications due August 31, 2022

Please register for the information session. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email and a prompt to download a calendar invitation. Contact Carrie Hollis at evaluationgrants@osbm.nc.gov if you have any questions.
