Join the IIA Charlotte Chapter for the 2023 Mid-Atlantic District II Conference! Attendees can earn up to 14 hours of CPE credits during general and concurrent sessions with a variety of topics.

General sessions will include a State of the Internal Audit Profession from Anthony Pugliese, CIA, CPA, CGMA, CITP - President and CEO of the Institute of Internal Auditors, The Inside Story of Tipper X from Tom Hardin, and  Rev Up Your Relationships with Jay Gubrud. Other topics include General Fraud Update, Machine Learning for Internal Audit, Transformation, Managing Human Capital Risk, Environmental, Social and Governance Considerations, Data Analytics and more. 

Highlights

Tom Hardin previously spent much of his career as a financial analyst in New York City. In 2008, as part of a cooperation agreement with the Department of Justice, Tom assisted the U.S. government in understanding how insider trading occurred in the financial services industry. Known as "Tipper X" Tom became one of the most prolific informants in securities fraud history, helping to build over 20 of the 80+ individual criminal cases in "Operation Perfect Hedge," a Wall Street house cleaning campaign that morphed into the largest insider trading investigation of a generation. After resolving his case in 2015, Tom was invited by the FBI's New York City office to speak to their rookie agent class and is now a global corporate trainer and speaker on misconduct risk and behavioral ethics form his former frontline perspective.
