SUBJECT: Increase to Cost of a State Capital Project
Pursuant to G.S. 143C-8-8, a State Agency may increase the cost of a capital project with gifts, federal or private grants, special fund receipts, or direct capital improvement appropriations if the increase is in the best interest of the State. The Wildlife Resources Commission is requesting an increase to the Sykes Depot Greenhouse project, originally authorized in Session Law 2022-74 Section 40.4, to a new total of $585,656 using eligible agency receipts. The increase is required as bids came in significantly higher than original project estimates.
