SUBJECT: Increase to Cost of a State Capital Project

Pursuant to G.S. 143C-8-8, a State Agency may increase the cost of a capital project with gifts, federal or private grants, special fund receipts, or direct capital improvement appropriations if the increase is in the best interest of the State. The Government Complex Emergency Project is complete but received $15,414.86 in insurance recoveries that were not previously budgeted. The Department of Administration is requesting to properly budget these funds for the project.
