SUBJECT: Increase to Cost of a State Capital Project

Pursuant to G.S. 143C-8-8, a State Agency may increase the cost of a capital project with gifts, federal or private grants, special fund receipts, or direct capital improvement appropriations if the increase is in the best interest of the State. The Department of Administration is requesting an increase of $48,178 to the Industrial Commission Renovation project originally authorized in Session Law 2017-57. This increase will capture the reimbursement from the Department of Insurance to the Department of Administration for funds spent bringing the project to an acceptable conclusion. The scope of the project has not changed.
